Development policy analysis

The institute aims to provide a comprehensive review of the existing and planned development policies which represent an intertwined network of socio-economic, infrastructural and educational policies. The analysis will generate a clear understanding of the setbacks, potentials and reveal patterns that register the overall results of the combined effect of development policies in Albania. The policy products of the Institute’s work are aimed at informing the policymakers and key stakeholders on development policies who receive data-based research reports that serve to better coordinate and navigate different aspects and levels of policy making.

The research that the Institute engages in, bridges theories from applied sciences and empirical research to map out the most effective models of development policies which should tackle poverty, unemployment, access to services, , institutional efficiency and general systemic legitimacy. Combining strategic planning for development and current social needs assessment, our aim is to offer sustainable policy solutions to actors involved in development processes in Albania.
