Call for Project Management Position – Institute of Social Studies and Humanities, Tirana, Albania

Introduction:
The Institute of Social Studies and Humanities, based in Tirana, Albania, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the office, applying for new project calls, and preparing reports. This is a one-year contract position, requiring strong English and Albanian language skills, a Bachelor’s degree, and previous experience with civil society works and projects.

Responsibilities:
1. Manage day-to-day operations of the institute’s office, including administrative tasks, correspondence, and scheduling.
2. Identify and apply for project funding opportunities from various donors and organizations.
3. Coordinate with project partners, stakeholders, and donors to ensure effective project implementation and reporting.
4. Prepare project proposals, budgets, work plans, and other necessary documentation for project submissions.
5. Monitor project progress, budget utilization, and compliance with donor requirements.
6. Prepare and submit regular progress reports, financial reports, and other documentation as required by donors and stakeholders.
7. Represent the institute in meetings, conferences, and other relevant events as necessary.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, humanities, international development).
– Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Albanian.
– Previous experience working with civil society organizations and implementing projects funded by international donors.
– Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management software.
– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.

Contract Duration: One year
